also check out the hollowbody Rick! the shop *claim* it's the only one ever made... :hmm:

Thanks mate thats really helpful!

You dont know the name of the shop do you?

i guess the scratch plate is easily replaced but the price is hefty for a banged up one.

Plus i live up in the midlands so a trip down is like £50 and to make things worse i fly to japan next friday fro two weeks... who know i may get one from there?!

actually does anyone know the crack with buying guitars abroad and bringing them back??

thanks ALOT to everyone!

ps. BUD you lucky SOB!!

uh yeah. D'oh! i guess the name of the shop would help...

it's the Bass cellar on Denmark st - http://www.allinlondon.co.uk/directory/1092/10045.php

i reckon your best bet is Japan, though, probably! good luck :)

EDIT: yeah, that is a lot of money for a bass in not such great condition. depends on how much you're into the vintage thing. also London shops are notoriously overpriced...

really??

oh wait. Euro vs pound...dammit! i can't get used to living in the 'cheap country' :(

oh and next time, go the the http://thebassgallery.com/ in Camden! best shop in the city, way better than anything on Denmark St.

Yes, only we don't have the Euro in Switzerland. But the "effect" is the same ;)

Thanks for the hint with Camden, will visit the shop on my next trip to the UK.....
