Finger ramp question

For you ramp players, is there any difference in feel between playing with a ramp between P and J pups versus between two soapbar pups?

I've gotten used to using my soapbar pups as ramps and can't stand the feel of playing PJ pup basses anymore so thinking ramps might be the solution, however, ramps seem to be better matched with soaps than with PJs pups - thoughts?

Ramps are supposed to be radiused to the board. It feels very different playing over a ramp than it does over a flat surface. I don't think the pickups surrounding the ramp make a difference to how the ramp feels, assuming you are playing on the ramp.
