Guys,
I'm revisiting Ed's book, and I've run across part of a lesson that I think I missed the first time through. It's the part about finger rolls. I use finger rolls with my index, middle and ring fingers pretty well when I cross strings, however, I avoid using my pinkie unless I have to.
I'm really struggling with rolling my pinkie to catch notes on the A & D strings the same way that I do with my other fingers. It feels very unnatural and forced to roll my pinkie, and the note is not coming out cleanly if at all. I feel as though my pinkie refuses to flatten out to catch the notes on the higher strings.
Is this an issue with finger strength because I tend to neglect my pinkie?
Anyone have any suggestions on exercises to help with this?
