Double Bass Fingerboard repair on EUB question

I have a solid body EUB. It took a spill a while back, and the fingerboard has a crack running along the side. The nature of the fall also caused the board to separate from the neck. It's not broken all the way through the board, so sanding down the back of the board and the neck to reapply adhesive is feasible. The crack is what concerns me. Is it advisable to attempt to repair it or replace it?

I will provide pictures when I get home. I'm finally getting a bit of free time to work on it.
