Finished my Daphne P project - Pics

It's not a hell of a lot of modding, but I finished putting together my P bass hybrid. 2003 Daphne Blue HWY1 body, stock pickups, I swapped the bridge out for a black Schaller roller and dropped a bridge cover on top. Installed a kill switch, new black pickguard and black dome knobs. I swapped the P neck out for an Aerodyne Jazz neck (1.5" at the nut!), put on a roller string tree and got my hands on some sweet "Wavy Titan" vintage Grover tuners. Plays awesome and sounds just as good. Comments?

Anyone have a black neck plate they want to get rid of?

And just for fun, I finally got this Thunderbird my friend painted for me put back together. Nothing fancy, nothing even remotely resembling a pro finish, but I think it's pretty cool. I asked him to paint a war-elephant on there (think Hannibal) and he did a great job. I affectionately now call it; The EleBird (bottom pics).

Oooh sweet little baby jesus, I came a little when I saw your t-bird. I love basses with a personal note to them. Really sweet looking, with probably most inovative straplocks ever that make it look really "rough love". Fantastic, Im certain you will enjoy those two more than ever before.

2thumbsup,

that P Bass looks great!!!
my only suggestion is black pickguard screws
its pretty cheap around 5 bucks but it makes a big difference
it gives the black pickguard a stealthy look like its just glued on the body from a distance
I put some on my Jazz and Precision and lve the effect
I would also get some smooth finish black pup covers too with black pup screws
PM me if you want the Pup covers I bought some for my SX but the SX pickups are epoxied together so I dont need them
