Finnally a Charvel!

I FINALLY got a Charvel bass, I ordered a Charvel 2B from a guitar shop some where in PA. on friday and it should be here by thursday. Does anyone else have any charvel basses and how do yours play? oh and the dude said mine was a 87-89 ill have a look at the serial when it gets here, im so excited =D

i have a csm 2B that id put in the nineties somewhere, but with the right set up and strings, these things are fantastic. the only problem ive had is that to adjust the truss rod, you must remove the neck because the hex keyhole is located in the pocket. its problematic because due to the extremely thin neck, i had to tighten mine ridiculously tight, to the point that there was a massive backwards bow without strings, but once i tuned it up, the neck bowed the opposite direction! haha its touchy but overall, an amazing deal. how much were you able to get it for?

I guess I'll play the Charvel/Jackson resident info "dude" since I have/enough of them. :D

he was right 86 to 89, 2B's are really nice for a passive bass. 1-5/8 nut, action so low without buzz, and truly FINE fingerpicking basses. I have the whole "B" series 1,2,3,4B, but all the other ones are J2000 pre-amped passive pickups or EMG's.

for 170.00 with the chainsaw case is a GREAT DEAL!!!!
what color is it?

It's cherry red, pre toothpaste logo too

my 2B is black, and it came with a Kahler trembridge already installed. I will say this, thanks to that bridge, it KILLS my other ones for sustain.

Have you ever thought about buying a replacement bar, or does it just not support one? (couldnt see why as you said it was a trembridge)
I eventually could get a bar for it, but I don't really have a use for it beyond a nice massive fixed bridge. My Jackson TBX came factory with a 2440 Kahler fixed bridge, a nice big solid string-spacing-adjustable bridge compared to the standard ones they usually put on them.

the "love" for pointy head basses is not common around here, so anytime I can see another user from TB who like's em...It perks me up :D

I love pointy headstocks lol, they add that feel as though you could attack somebody with it . and if your interested i found a pdf of the jackson catalog that has your TBX in it just to prove to speculators that its not a custom shop order.

I don't use that site, but YA the "speculators" already know it was a production jackson-japan, as I have posts and pics all over this board of it, with a little story behind it.
