Finnally a Charvel!

Ooh! That Anti-Gravity 5 has my GAS name written all over it! Are those current production, or rarities, or??? And do you happen to know the scale length?
hey bongo, it was a 1 year run in 2003 they are not "rare", but not too many sold so I doubt you'll see one on EBAY/CL wherever 2 times a month. scale was 35".
weight was 5lbs....very light bass which was their selling point for it beyond the WILD shape.....

Thanks guys! My "adult onset ADHD" must have kicked in when I was posting/joining... I had read the rules and (obviously) intended to join... love having this resource, as there aren't many "brand independent" forums out there. (one-stop shop) Thanks for your patience and sorry for the noob move!

P.S. I did add a classified post this morning in the Bass Guitar Classifieds. Thanks! :D

well now that your a supporting member, I'll look for it in the classifieds.. I am one of the very FEW Charvel/Jackson Freaks around here...

because to me "P/J" has NOTHING to do with a Fender... P/J to me means:

P pointyheadstock
J Jackson.....lol

as this pics kinda shows... :):D

and my YING-YANG Siamese twins:

Pretty, pretty!!! Beautiful Siamese sisters you have there as well...

Being a visual artist, it's interesting to me that you can really see what effect that little bit of thinning of the horns/cut-away (on the 4) does to the overall sillhouette...

ha ha ha, like when they "updated" the look of the Columbia Pictures opening credits chick.... [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] (she went on a diet between 1963 and 2000...)

I have a red 3b that bought used for about $300 in the early '90s. Replaced the pickups with some DiMarzios and it plays great. It has been my daily player since I bought it - I also have a '77 Ric 4001 that I bought in '79 for $325. I recently bought another 3B on ebay. Black with EMG pickups. After a little setup and new strings it plays good. Needs a little more work, but for the $150 I paid, its a great bass.

I also bought myself an ebony T-bird for x-mas. Oh, and a k-tone bass too because I like the shape -> looks like a Tri-Ryche symbol.

is that the one I saw with all the scratches on the back?

if that IS the one you bought, good find cause scratches are cosmetic... I have too many so my GAS for Charvel "B" series basses is squelched for now :)

you may have seen pics of my ebony tbirds before, but I have 2 of them, one being a Jackson...

yes...3B not B3 :)

MMMM ya gotta love the CRACKLE!!!!

is yours this color, or the more orange-red colored?

Mine has a little more orange/red near the inside around the pickups and bridge, and a little more black around the outside of the bodies.

I hate that pictures don't do these things justice. :) They look sooooo freaking good in real life!

The one I scored off Ebay doesn't have scratches on the back - at least nothing significant and no belt rash. The neck was really terrible when I got it and most every fret buzzed. I took the neck off and adjusted the truss rod and shimmed it some and it plays good now. I put my red 3B in the closet and will beat up on the black one for a while ;)

Edit: Apparently I have been calling my basses 3Bs when they seem to be 2Bs. I've been lookig here:
