3rd evac in 15 years. Doing this one with a bad back and twisted ankle. Got the critters and some important stuff. Pulled the sound company trailer out. All that is missing is my lighting rig. Hopefully it isn’t slag tomorrow morning!

Lots of smoke and haze otherwise.

We've done this ^, at times, just with run-of-the-mill garden sprinklers, etc., after cleaning all gutters and blocking the top of every down-pipe with bags full of sand. Emergency measures, not for the faint-hearted.

All you need really, in a pinch — besides squadrons of water-bombing aircraft and firefighters — is some sturdy weights, to keep everything in place, a sufficient length of quality hose, a reliable water supply, and a means of escape.
