Firestudio Project, troubleshooting

OK, so recently I bought the Presonus Firestudio Project, which came with Cubase LE 4 recording software. The interface has 2 mic/instrument inputs and 6 mic/line inputs.

I thought I had it figured out well enough to record multiple tracks, because I was already recording one track well enough and I thought it would be as easy creating two tracks and setting them both record and presto. BUT, it seems that the only input that works on the interface is the first one. When I try recording through the second input, no sound comes through. The LED monitor on the interface says it is picking up the playing of my bass, but there is no sound during monitoring or playback.

I was wondering if anyone had an suggestions as to what the problem is. I aslo tried the 3rd and fourth inputs with a microphone and had the same problem. If anyone with experience with this product and the accompanied software can help, or anyone for that matter, I would be eternally grateful.

THANKS

It took me a while to figure that one out myself. You have to open up the mixer panel and actually assign specific inputs to specific channels. Unfortunately I can't be more specific than that because I sold mine last year, and the details are foggy in my memory.
