First Bass and Setup

So I found a setup might consider:

There is a Washburn Bantam Series BB15 5 string Bass (Marked as a seconds due to a scratch on the back) - 300$
And a Ibanez Soundgear 5 string - 200$

And a SWR LA15 100 Watt Amp - asking 250

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For a first bass, I think the amp will be fine and either of the basses.

Starting with a 5er could be cool and if you know you want to play 5s then it makes sense. But your books, chord charts, etc will be written assuming a 4 string.

I'm not a fan of Washburns. I don't care for their tone, playability, and quality. A friend of mine owned a Dime Slime and huge chunk of paint just literally fell off the guitar. Another had a Washburn. XB102, it also began to have issues under minimal to normal wear. Neither held tune. So I'm very leery of Washburn's overall quality.

I've never heard of an SRX205. I even googled them and checked other sites like ebay and it yielded no results. The only SR model that I know/knew of was the GSR205 and the GSR205EX. So I'm affraid I can't help you out much on that one. By any chance is it this? [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

It is in fact the GSR 205.
