due to my lack of experiense i decided to cut off the fifth string so the project is a four stringed fretless hybridontknowifwillwork headless bass with a piezo pickup. what the hack it's my first built so i'm free to experiments! The hardware is the cheapest i can find.. :smug:

So! the project is about to complete! after almost a year strings are in place and some noise is producing. Everything is handmade except the strings, the tuners and the truss rod. The nut is from synthetic marble, fretboard and bridge is iroko and the saddles are made from stainless steel spearshaft as are and the rods in the neck. Feel free to comment :hyper:

ps: the photos are big so follow the link to my facebook album as soon as i try to resize them:

Looks as if it's coming together very nicely! Have any clue on what colors you'll use?

Also, like how it's not technically a headless bass yet the tuners are all the way at the bridge :P I guess you can't really call it a headstock, so I deem that we shall need to make a new word for it!

I might use a tumbled silver finish.

haha empty head maybe?

Is it just the picture, or are the E and G string really that close to the edge of the finger board? If so does it create any problems?

It looks pretty cool. I like the fade paint job you did.
