first build is about to begin!

I see alot of routing and sanding in the near future, but my bridges came in today the WRONG ONES!!!!!
I have to send them back I ordered extra narrow hipshot A
and they sent me extra wide!!!

this has been taking up alot of my time, doing fills for buckeye customers!
and this white top, those were completely empty all the way through.
and I want them to be black when finished.

in bloomfield hills, abour 30 mins n of detroit

oh yea body shots!


japanese acacia crotch top,
wenge,
flame maple body
, curly american chestnut a
nd maple burl back top be dyed purple
that also was a no sale reject
theres bug damage on it pretty bad but aligning it where it ends up in the route for elec cover worked out just fine!!
also there was a soft knot in the upper horn but with the deep carve/contour you cant even figure out thats what it is, although when dyed you'll notice it more.

flame maple body and curly bastogne back
which was a reject!!
it had some internal kiln dry checks inside it
I just put it where it'll be routed out for the control cavity!
you can see it down there.

and the center is flame maple , bois de rose, maple, walnut and solid maple burl
the quilt midbody was a board I had with a bunch of bug bug trails in it
I aligned it that they were all cutoff with that center block.
also that bark in the maple burl center is wehre the Sweetspot pickup will be!
and the bois de rose came from a turning spindle leftover and the holly veneers all are clean on the outside but have birdknots in the covered up areas and stain but aligned right
coppefield!

no plans to sell anything.
I'm not playing at the moment and haven't drawn I a while so I need a least one creative outlet.
and most are made from reject wood and "my stash stuff."
arrangeing them in an order that they don't look like reject woods is the key!

for example the whole goncalo one was scraps. I just used 2 NT sets that were cheapies!

I'm just one of those weird creative types at heart
you know uber hobbyiest!

i'll tell you tough carving the inside of that upper horn hook was no easy task!!!
I only use about an inch of a spoke file at a very sharp angle!
I have one just like it out of
flame maple cocobolo and circassian walnut burl, that one is proving a bit harder but I am getting there.
after all the bodies are almost done
I'll do all the necks, I have 4 glued up , and 2 more already scarfed.

I have the munch bass just needs some finishing touches and its done.
I went fretless to show off that cool PME fingerboard.

when you do a consistant motion or activity you accel. (fine tune the movements and imprint them for future refrence, )
thats the thing , why so many.
I have gotten really good as the building process (so far)
all the bodies, all the necks, all the finishing, all the assembly.
from a beginner standpoint is sounds repugnant but Im not exactly an average beginner.
all the above bodies are different shapes, variations on a theme if you will.
