I'm building my first bass right now with my dad, how do you build a neck? Are there any forums or other websites you would consider is good for learning how to?

This website has a lot of information on building guitars. A lot of it carries over to building basses as well. Building a neck is a very difficult thing to do. If you can't figure out how to build a neck yourself, I can pretty much gaurantee it will be a challenge. I am not trying to dissuade you from doing it, building an entire bass is a very rewarding experience, and you will learn a lot. Just be ready.to be spending a lot of time and work on it.
