First compression pedal help

Me, I think one's first, second and mebbe up to fifth effects should be dirt.

Then maybe a octave or envelope filter, which may lead to a compressor faster than a chorus, phaser, flanger or reverb.

Altho' I think of some compressors as being like a dirt pedal, ex., the Ampeg, the Floor Q, and as said the Pig gives you the specific option.

Yeah, good point. And also an interesting one. I got a Sushi Box Renewal Compressor for my prize from one of the Luthier Corner Build Offs. So it's not a compressor that many others are gonna have or have ever used/seen. It has "Sustain - Volume - Attack - Clip" settings, but having never used a compressor before, I am not 100% sure what each one does to the sound or what it is I want to do to the sound.

I have one of those as well. It’s not easy to dial in and it heavily colours your tone. I definitely recommend getting pretty much anything else but I’ll see if I can dig up the post I made, in case it had any tips…

The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Mine was a Sushi Box April Fools joke, called the Squeeze Box, but Mr Sushi said it was the same as the renewal. I have barely used it, but my post says I preferred almost 100% sustain and 50% clip. And that it had a fixed tilt EQ with a big bass boost. I’m just going to have to trust past self with all of that.
