Mine was a Digitech BP-200.

It was a great pedal to learn what I wanted, and what effects sound like, but I'm not a big fan anymore.

I hear ya bro about the whole "what do effects sound like?" but the affects on me are the opposite. I have 5 effects in a gradually growing pedalboard setup which include wah, 2 distortion pedals,flanger,and chrous. Hopefully eventually synth,delay,tremolo! I still use my BP200 every once in awhile to mess with certain effects. Just today I wanted a vibrato/tremolo from playing on the BP200.
