First live!!!!

So before some hours i gave my first live performance. The thing that make me think was that the sound producer said that my bass sucks idk i use cort gb75.I think he said the sound doesn't come well to his monitor.Do you think that the problem is my strings? cuz i didin't have change em for about 3 months.Or do you think that my bass suck???? Or the sound producer is a dumb ****?

How did it sound to you? How did it sound to the rest of the band? Did the audience seem to enjoy the show? Those are the most important questions.

How were you hooked up to the PA system? A direct signal from the amp, a direct signal from your bass (I hope not), or was your bass amp miked? Direct signal from your bass is one of the worst ways to do it, but the Cort GB75 looks like it's an active bass so not quite as bad (unless your battery was low or dead).

I liked the sound i had a markbass amp behind me and a monitor to adjust it.i think that there was a cable that conects the mark bass amp to the big amps the main amps of the show. I remember that he said me to play something and then he said to the other sound producer to check something. He said check this and the answer was it is -20 and he said do it 0.And after he said my bass sucks xD

Then he's what we call a bozo.

After a quick glance at the Markbass website it looks like most of the Markbass amps have a line out level control on the front of the amp. That may have been turned down. Is the Markbass amp yours or was it provided for you?
If you play your bass through that amp and get plenty of sound from the speaker then your bass, the amp, the speaker, and all the cables are working fine and the sound had the problem somewhere else.

It was provided for me.It was huge dunno.I liked the sound that was produced by mark bass amp that was behind me.It was so heavy and fuzzy. But i still don't understand why the sound producer said that.I was thrilled xD.My mood went downhill. And excuse me i am amateur thats why i'm asking

I have a markbass amp, cab and a GB 75 and get what I think is a pretty nice sound. It's been complimented many times. Getting sound to the soundman is another story... The DI isn't that great on the LMII that I have cause there is no level. If he wasn't able to or didn't attenuate it on his end, the sound may have been lousy. Don't be too hard on yourself. Dead strings aside, you have a nice rig...

Dont let it bug ya, if your rig sounded good to you and your band mates the prob was most likey out board. Giging you will come to hear All types of remarks from folks. as alot of guys will tell you thare is a (pro sound guy) and the worlds best bass player in every crowd. GOD BLESS AND GIG ON!!!!
