Hey guys. I’ve been playing bass for a little over 20 years. Recently I haven’t been playing live and just playing through a combo amp. I wanted a rig and want to start playing live again so I went on a quest lol. So I picked up a used GK mb800 for a steal. When I played I always used 410 cabs, but I wanted something smaller. So I started doing a lot of research. I ended up with 2 1x12 cabs, and I’m impressed. I was going back and forth between 2 210s or 2 112s and the 12s one. So my setup now is GK MB800 and 2 Hartke HD112s. I didn’t spend a lot at all and I just love the way it sounds. I was aiming for a MB500 but found the 800 cheaper. Thanks for letting me rant, the wife is tired of hearing me talk about music stuff. I’ll get some pics up later on

Welcome to Talkbass. Sounds like a sweet and modular rig.

I was thinking of buying a big rig, but I don’t want to tote it around. Hence the 12’s. They sound great, a lot better than I expected. Small and LOUD.

Nice. I did the same. moved from 410 to 2x112s. I was nervous at 1st, as I did not know what to expect and the 410 was so good. BUT, here we are pleasantly surprised that my 2 epiphany 112s do everything Ive ever needed.

2x112s are the new 410. ;) IMO.
