Just got back from purchasing my first real rig and I have to say I'm quite impressed with how big of a step up this is from my previous getup. I play in a 4 piece band, was using a Fender Rumble 100, and going up against a really loud drummer and two Marshall half stacks. Suffice to say I didn't like the mids or lows on the Rumble and the whole amp seemed to have next to no personality and character, much less functionality, so today I went out and got myself a GK Neo 4x10 as well as a used 700RB-II head. The cab was mighty expensive at 600 bucks new, but compared to the Backline series worth it's weight (or lack thereof) in gold. I tried picking up on of the Backline 410 cabs and nearly thew out my back because I wasn't expecting it to be so dern heavy
but the Neo is considerably lighter and the casters definitely help. All in all, definitely loud enough and great lows and screamin highs from the cab. As for the head, I've heard nothing but good things about GK heads and it seems to be a very well built piece. Hoping to get many a gig out of this set up and thanks to all the people on this forum for helping me with my decision.
