First song(s) you learned?

1971. One Way Out, Statsboro Blues and Trouble No More (Allman Brothers), Sufferjet City and Hang on to Yourself (Bowie). Stone Cold Fever, Shine On, and I Don't Need No Doctor (Humble Pie), Sunshine of Your Love, Spoonful (Cream), Live With Me, Brown Suger (Stones). All of these were on my first Bands first set list. We were all Sophomores and Juniors and we only played at High School parties.

My Michelle, Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle - GNR

Wild Side, Shout at the Devil, Live Wire, Dr Feelgood, Don't Go Away Mad - Motley Crue

TNT, If You Want Blood - AC/DC

Ballroom Blits - The Sweet

Search and Destroy - Iggy Pop

Would? By AIC - thought that intro sounded so cool... Took me forever to get up to that speed cause I never played with a pick. Never learned the bridge part either. Now it just doesn't sound right without a pick... 13 years later. Still trying to learn to play with a pick. But I can go pretty fast with my fingers. Doesn't sound right though for a lot of rock.

Personally I think for a ton of Alice in Chains songs you must use a pick because that was his thing. You had that percussive tight tone. I play fingerstyle and I know it never sounds as good as it did when Mike played it.
