I wonder perhaps OP hasn't go as far as deciding on a particular PG yet so is just asking the question generally, or perhaps he was thinking of some sort of PG but hadn't gone as far as choosing one and now he's seen the finished article he's at a bit of a crossroads. Me personally I'd leave it as is, it's beautiful.We need to see the pickguard in place first.

Very nice build. I would add the pickguard Bur a little bit of a different shape near the bottom horn. I you look at the lower part of the body there is some dark grain and the bottom edge of thst grain starts at the lower point of the control plate.
