I wonder perhaps OP hasn't go as far as deciding on a particular PG yet so is just asking the question generally, or perhaps he was thinking of some sort of PG but hadn't gone as far as choosing one and now he's seen the finished article he's at a bit of a crossroads. Me personally I'd leave it as is, it's beautiful.

I’m with @TeeSee on no pickguard for this baby.

Very clean and very sharp looking as it is. Normally, I am a PG person because I tend to claw at my basses when I play, but if the OP is gentler than me, then this will be looking good for many years. Nice job @JohnEdward

I would go to a used record store, pick a 45 or 33 of a band you love, spray it with poly to protect the label, and make a pickguard from that. It would look great with the white body.

Nice design as is. But something like a modded Cabronita pg design that transitions to the control plate could be a nice compliment to the overall package.

Looks great. Go for the simpler look, with the Tele-style control plate and no PG. JMO. Really nice!

Nice job. I voted “yes” on the pickguard, they work exactly as advertised, protecting the finish against pick or finger wear. I like how they unify the pickups and control plate too. If you don’t mind the finish damage, no worries, leave it off, but I think that would look great with a tort guard, or maybe ivory.

I really can't abide the aesthetics of a Jazz Bass control plate without a pickguard. It simply looks incomplete to me. Jaco notwithstanding. BUT - you do you. And yes, tort would work nicely! There! I said it!

Very nice build. I would add the pickguard Bur a little bit of a different shape near the bottom horn. I you look at the lower part of the body there is some dark grain and the bottom edge of thst grain starts at the lower point of the control plate. I would follow a similar line instead of following the shape of the body.
