First Time Going Wireless

Hi,

I am new to wireless technology. I have simple question, I have my bass, amp and pedal board. What is the sequence for the signal from my bass? How does it come from my bass, into my first pedal (tuner) through my compression and then to the amp.

Think of the "wireless" as the "wired" portion of how you had it conencted before. The "wireless" segment replaces that segment, no other cable changes should be required. you may however, find that you need to come from the wireless receiver back tot he pedles then back to the amp/head. If a smaller receiver, place near the FX pedals.

also you can use the FX send and return (if your amp has one). Your effects loop is wired into the app this way. Then you can simply plug the wirle reciver into the amps input like you pluging your instrument cable into it.

so from your amp use the "send" to plug into the 1st pedal on your board, then the out of your your final pedal goes into the "return" on the amp.

Plug the wirelss unit recviver into the amp instrument input seprate form the FX loop.

This wiil give you a more balanced level of your effect too, whether or not yuo are using a wirelss unit

Bass -> Wireless transmitter ~> wireless reciever -> pedals -> amp input

Most recievers can be placed on your pedal board.

Just a note of caution for at least the first few shows you play with your wireless rig. Keep a cord right there on your amp just in case something goes kerflooey while you're in the middle of a set.

No time to do a heavy diagnosis of what's gone wrong while you're playing a tune. Even if it's something that turns out to be simple, you need to keep on truckin' and fix it later. I had to do this once and I corded up so quickly that I only missed a couple bars of the song.

Karma will probably be in favor of your wireless if you have a cord ready to go - sort of the same way that if you remember to bring an umbrella just in case, it almost definitely won't rain.

Umm, make that FOREVER.

I started out on the original NADY blue wireless system and it taught me to ALWAYS have a cord handy. I still do.

Having just gone from the now-illegal Sennheiser EW172(700 MHz band) to Line 6 G50, do consider the G50 or G90. The displays on it monitor signal AND battery life of your transmitter!!! You can glance at it during a show and see where you are with battery life. A welcome addition.
