Just purchased my first bass EVER with tort! It's an Ibanez TMB310. Will it give me all the superpowers of deceased bassists who came before me?? Does it make the bass self-aware? (a vorpal bass) Do I have to register it with any kind of Tort Society? This is so exciting!... Please walk me through this pivotal moment in my life. It should be arriving next week. I need to be prepared. BAD37BBC-DA4B-44AB-AD48-6EFF0CB6E56D.jpeg

No. But now instead of being a Tort Mocker, you've become a Tort Mockee. Good job!

The first hit of tort is free, but come to me when (not if) you need more.

    That's a sweet bass!!!

Well, according to the tort prophecy, in order to receive all the powers from 'The Tort', you must also have flat wounds on that bass. The magical combination of a split coil pickup, flats and tort will grant you all the secret powers of vintage vibe gods.

Looks really nice. The TMBs have that "is it modern or is it classic??" thing to them. I dig the looks a lot. Only got to play one once, it was an MM-only model, felt more like a "classic" bass in my hands than most of the Ibanez catalog. Congrats!

Thanks. I think they were thinking along the same lines when they released the ATK.

If you lose your pick just turn it sideways, it'll fall off. Easy unless you have tort carpet too.
