I have a Fishman Dual Parametric DI that needs repair. I think it might be a power-supply issue, but what do I know? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I called Fishman twice, and they will not look at it; it has been out of production for about 20 years. Both times I asked them whether they can dig up a schematic, but they have not gotten back to me either yes or no.

I’m posting this on the off chance that someone out there might have a schematic or be qualified to look it over. Maybe there are some basic tests that can be performed without a schematic.

It doesn’t work with either a fresh battery or pedalboard power. (I had that in my draft, but it disappeared during my edits.) The other day it was trying to make sound, but it was very low volume, the Volume control worked a bit in part of its range (bad pot?). At one point it was making a sort of thumping sound, but today nothing. It doesn’t work with the two EQ bands switched on or off. I was thinking it might a general power problem, since it doesn’t work with the EQ bands switched off (essentially bypass mode; there is no foot switch). It could even be a problem with an input or output jack.

I don’t expect a diagnosis in this thread, as no one can diagnose it without having it in their hands. Just trying to locate a schematic, so I can take it to a qualified repair person. Alternatively, if someone wants a project, I’ll sell it; I have another one that does work.
