Hey guys,
I have a V5 passive five string 70's-ish jazz coming from Sire today. I'm just going to go ahead and assume I'm going to want to swap out the pickups, based on my experience with my other Sire. (A P7 that I intend to swap the pups on, but have not yet).
Does anybody have any favorite five-string jazz bass pickups that nail that 70's sound? I don't slap . . . like ever . . . but I do love classic rock, blues, country, modern worship, etc. Hum cancelling may be preferred, as I tend to solo one pickup slightly over the other from time to time, but is not necessarily a deal breaker. I have non-hum-cancelling pups in my Lakland jazz, and the hum is minimal, and they sound fantastic.
Thanks
