I agree with this. I'm a 16mm - 17mm user all the way, and I was shocked to play a 5-string 'Ray. I assumed they would be 19mm.

Indeed my Peavey Cirrus feels tight as hell compared to the 4 bangers, means I have to play much more precisely. On the flip side, rocking out the Jazz after playing the Cirrus is great!

My Peavey TL-Five has a Cirrus style bridge with 16.5mm spacing. I'd say that is pretty tight.
