Five string Peavey Rudy Sarzo bass

Tangent to topic and maybe a bit poorly aimed, but Rudy Sarzo must be a very agreeable person to work with to have had the career he's had. Because he's a clunky player in my opinion.
This is very interesting and it looks more and more from the comments that this was "probably" a one-off as a test run or it was just a modded TL-5 made for Rudy since he did have a relationship with Alembic. I couldn't see it on the bass until @PrairieThunder13 pointed it out, and the top hat knobs were then obviously Alembic. MAYBE it was for a song that required a fretless ? Kind of like when the Eagles do Henley's "Sunset Strip" to cop that Pino bass line. The Dude does not approve.
It's likely a one off just for Rudy.
Peavey have forum for that kind of thing; Ellefson's Zodiac was an active 5 string but the production models bearing his name were 4 string passive.
The Sarzo is not a favourite of mine , always felt it was lacking something. Loaned it to a female player and she quickly discovered what was lacking.

I'm hoping @kodiakblair and @Giffro can clear this up. They both have a lot of catalog info. That page I posted is tough to read the smaller text info.

I was after a Sarzo 4 the day I went home with a Dyna fiver. I called mid week and they had the bass but by the time I got there Saturday, the Sarzo was gone. The fiver belonged to the shop. It had been ordered and the guy hated it so much he swapped it on the spot for something else. It was the first fiver I'd ever tried and I liked it a lot. I still wanted a Sarzo but that urge went away pretty quick once I dug into the fiver.
But not a five string, that's the point.
I'm sure that it was just a one-off produced for Rudy, but presumably he still has it or it would have made its way into a "privateer's" hands?

Peavey Artist relations arranged for special "one off" and "vanity branded" and "custom" as well as factory prototype or test instruments from time to time for name players and endorsees and to select dealers to test new designs. I own two of those basses. My DynaBassFive was an evaluation prototype and then there is the Verdine White.

I don't know but that Spark amp ad he did appealed to me. Just his old man approach had this old grandpa wanting one.
It was like listening to me fawn over something that no one else cares about but me. I loved it!
Boy I sure miss all those great Peavey Basses. My Cirrus 5 is the one that got away for sure and I will never sell my Fury.

That's only because that's all I had to go on then, not for any other reason.

Hi Peavey friends. i think this is a single custom made model just for Rudy Sarzo, but with no intentions of neither Rudy nor Peavey Company- to endorse this bass nor to mass produce it. it seems to be a Peavey TL5 neck with the body wings of a Peavey Rudy Sarzo (4 string ) Bass. Furhermore i believe this bass was used by Rudy Sarzo just for a certain period ~ 1990 till 94 when Rudy was playing with whitesnake. bass can be seen on videos of Whitesnake live at Donington 1990 and St. Petersburg 1994. What is weird: there is no mention of this bass anywhere at all. dead silent. i call it the Mystery bass. ( and think only Hartley Peavey or Rudy Sarzo could solve this riddle ) Yours N.B.
