I have a US G&L L2500 and love it. The MFD pickups have a distinct sound so it's gotta be your thing. Lots of options with the sound but that mid range bite is ever present to my ear. I also prefer jazz necks and love the neck on my L2500. If memory is correct I found the neck on the tribute version thicker and not a nice. It is 8lbs. Lakeland fivers are 35" scale with wider string spacing…not for me. I too prefer the narrower spacing.
