Fix for scratches on a 'Nirvana Black' Warwick?

Working on a Nirvana Black Warwick, and it has some ugly scratches on the back. I'd like to make them look better if possible. Has anyone had any luck on touching up these scratches? If so, what did you use?

Unless they are really deep I had had success using Semi Chrome polish.

OP: can you provide pics? There are scratches and then there are SCRATCHES... some are better buffed out, some might need more work than that.
