Flake musicians.

And Band Mix is just as bad! Of course Band Mix is free to post but if you want to freely communicate it is not cheap! I can't count how many messages I've sent with no reply's! Flakes is absolutely the case here! I've had better replies from Craig's List!

Agree and BandMix sends you almost daily an email announcing, 12 People Have Viewed Your Listing!
Other than that, the amount of responses I've gotten from BandMix is.......crickets, 0.

Honestly in my experience you could have a one word title "musicians" and it would mean the same thing.

Not turning up, regularly turning up late, not practicing, and showing no desire to better thei, or the band's, situation.

Especially when it comes to cash injections.

I've had a Band Mix page for 6 years. Not as much interest as i would suspect considering i've had over 500 hits.
Several bands that seem like good matches usually end up with little replys or from bands that are not compatible.....even if THEY know that.

The lesson is this.
Band mix and other sites are full of dreamers and folks that don't share the same values and (your) level of respect. Unfortunately, this is earth so get used to it.

Thanks folks, I think the way to go is as suggested and post a "bass player available" ad myself.

Not that many open mic nights are left around here since a large majority of pubs have closed, ten years ago I used to do a few; just me and a friend on guitars, but the whole scene seems pretty dead now.
