Thank you for the DOD recommendation. I found an FX75C on eBay for cheap and it arrived today. It has a better sound than my Starcaster Flanger, just in 15 minutes of testing.

I don't really like flangers much, but I picked up an Arion flanger cheap and while it doesn't get crazy sounds, it is really nice for subtle use or with delay and fuzz.

I am a child of the 80's. I grew up on the over-use of flanger, but aside from 80's pop, adding in a tinge of flanger to even a quiet folk song can add interesting sounds.

Fulltone ChoralFlange. Or an old A/DA Jet but those are unobtainium encrusted now. Best bass flangers ever IMO.
