flats for that wilton felder tone??

i know any most any flats will get you there…. but i wanna be pedantic. was he using the heavy gauge labella at the time? or was it the standard fender flats at the time, which would probably best be approximated by GHS precision flats these days.

There are a number of other threads on this subject. He used a Telecaster Bass with a single coil and flats, but the brand of strings doesn't seem to have been reported.
