Haha...what's chocolate punch? I think I meant a chocolate sound with punch. Chocolate punch sounds great though. Deep and rich with a nice punch to it...chocolate punch!

I'm a Chromes guy too, but I've got to recommend Fender 9050L's to you. They're kind of like Chromes Dark if you will. They have most of the good qualities of Chromes without as much of the upper mids...and better tonal string balance. In other words, the G string is not as twangy and the E string is not as thumpy as Chromes.

Fender 9050L is my favorite flats. They sound better than Chromes to me. The Fenders 9050L GROWLS like no others and that's super cool. They sound REALLY good.
I like the La Bellas too (FS & FL), they are smooth, bassy and polite, classic flatwound sound. But if you want the bass to be heard - go for the 9050L.

As a hopeless chocolate lover, I often use chocolate terms to describe certain tonal qualities.

Flats on a P = punchy & thumpy = rich dark chocolate
Flats on a J = smooth & mellow = creamy milk chocolate
