Flatwounds for fretless? Trying to emulate double bass

Are you talking about the "1954 Originals" (760M) or the 760FM, which are .003 lighter?
My setup is weird because I'm shortscale tuned CGDA, so I mix from two sets. I would probably go FS at standard scale and tuning, they are still plenty tight. The FL is a cool set too, because it is just one step tighter than the low tension set, and that's kind of perfect for me. I'm intrigued by the originals, though, I bet they sound amazing on the right bass and setup, just not for me.
