Just FYI...Labella Deep Talkin' flats come with bright red silks.

These are a deep red.

Roto's are definatly on both ends, the Labellas, I couldn't remember, as I have them through body.

I'm sure we could compile one. The only issue would be the number of string brands that come with no silk or the same color silk or different color silk within the brand.

Example: SIT's come with black silk on both ends and so do Fender 7250's. Fender 8250's come with gray silk, though. You get the idea.

Yeah something like that would be very helpful.... a color heading and then under each color, the brand and set of strings.

Only on the super heavys, I have the FL's.


Most flats are actually just fine through body, it's a myth that they're incompatible. Remember, first basses were string through only, and flats were the only strings.

I've often used TI's, Roto's(including tapes), Chromes, and as I said, the one set of Labellas, string through.

Only La Bella Flats with black silk are the 760FS set (45-105).

760FX (39-96) = avocado green.
760FL (43-104) = orange-ish red.
760FS (45-105) = black.
760FM (49-109) = dark blue.
0760M (52-110) = dark blue.

EDIT: By the way, none of La Bella flats have silk at the ball end.
