Are flat wounds really that good?

Besides the fact they are funk proof.

What would you use a flat wound for anyways?

Any real comparison to nickelwound?

"That good" is too subjective for us to tell you.
You would use them for playing bass. I tried flossing with them, but they were far too big.

Depends on the brands for each string, but generally less bright sounding
