Well, like others have saidm Flea inspired me to start bass (a year ago, wow) and because he is still popular after 20 something years of being with RHCP, I find that amazing, but utterly cool.
Flea's an awesome guy who I'd love to meet, and I like it when he tells people that he's nott he best, because he isn't, and he actually wants more people to say that he sucks, because it helps him get better.
He may be out there in his cosmic world, but he's still a freaking awesome bassist that can do almost wahtever he wants to on a bass, and it'll always sound good.

i think overall that flea is great at every thing that he does 
not the best but pretty close he has inspired me so much as a bass player with his cool ass bass lines
