Fleas Acoustic

nope taylor no longer make them. They'll be rare too, i dont think taylor make acoustic basses at all now.

I totally love that tone too, thats what i want from an acoustic bass, that TONE! but lets start saving the pennies eh.

The AB-3s were "colored" models (red as pictured, also available in black, blue, and natural maple). I'm going with the natural-finished sitka spruce AB-1.

...and damn, did the Taylors sound sweeet both recorded (an AB recorded well with a mix of piezos and mics is heavenly) as well as live. I hope the used market still has some supply when I have enough money to offer demand. :crying:

Well... not the AB series, but don't count them out forever. ;) As for the rarity, I've heard that yes they are rare, but the "demand" isn't their like a popular instrument that was pulled from the market early. The ABs never really caught on, so the supply/demand ratio is pretty even for those of us that want one. The prices aren't cheap, but compared to the original selling price they're a good deal on the used market.

That's what I've been saying for years... that no matter how loud an ABG can be, even the best thusfar (currently people agree on the Tacomas) they're still overwhelmed by two acoustics, over even one depending on the player. :scowl:

I'd much rather have wonderful tone and use a small, quality combo amp for acoustic situations.
