Flight Case Screws

So the other day I just got my first flight rack case. and i noticed it didnt come with the mounting screws. So i'm calling the place for the past couple of days and their not answering. i need to put screws in though cause i have this show coming up. anyone know what kinda screws i'm supposed to be getting? Like what kind, length, etc. i'm assuming it needs bolts on the other side right? i dont even know. just need a little help here! :help:

The thread size/length Tony mentioned sounds right, I'd have to check. They are not anything special other than they sometimes have larger "button" head & are painted black.

Most any hardware store will have a "machine screw" to fit, somewhere in those rows of fastener drawers they all have nowadays.

You don't need a nut on the back as the rack rail itself is threaded.

Also, you might want to get some small nylon washers to put on the screws as a cushion so that the metal of the screw isn't in direct contact with your amp face plate.

Most will be phillips head though I've used a "socket head machine screw" (the kind that takes a hex key) as they can be easier to put in a tight cabinet & they are usually black too.

Good call, that's true. I've never owned one like that but have seen them.

I've seen those slide-on threaded clip/nuts in the hardware drawers as well, sometimes in the automotive fastener drawers.

I usualy use SS screws and they have the cup washers in polished nickel, brass, and nylon for the 82 degree flathead screws
Also have rack nuts
