Floyd Rose

So i want to either find a bass with a floyd rose for my next bass or get one put in my current one, the problem is i am left handed so finding a left handed bass with a floyd rose is not even an idea, but getting one put in would be really expensive, almost 500 ive been told, so if there's anywhere in north alabama that i could get the woodwork done cheapely that you guys know about that would be totally awesome, if not id be open to suggestions Thanks

Yeah it should have gone in either "Basses" or "Misc" or the "Luthiers Corner". Anyway though that doesn't seem like something you'd want done by a hack, unless it was an instrument you truly didn't give a flip about. Honestly I would just try to find a good luthier in your region, ask them how much they'd charge, and then start saving up for it.

I know Kahler makes a bass tremolo, but I have no idea if it is a floyd rose or not...

The kahlers work as either left or right handed, I do believe.

I really want one too, but I'm afraid that installing one into my bass will mess with the tone... and I really love my tone. I could get a new bass, but I don't have the cash to spend on that right now.
