There are certain issues that come up with these mostly being about all of the production models are short scale and they still don't balance well. the other being.. there still not very comfortable to play.

I saw a Gibson that looked much like that Edwards (same blue color) in a music store once---that I did not buy it is one of my great regrets in life. (They wouldn't take my MIM Jazz as a trade-in, so I passed...I guess I showed them.) It had the same pickups as a Ripper. I had a Ripper too and really liked the sound. I wonder if the Duncans in the Edwards get anything like that tone. I'm sure they sound pretty good, but that V bass is a looser interpretation of the original than the Edwards Les Pauls, for instance.

Man that is awsome! Be sure to post pics when you get it. This I have got to see. I love Stambaugh Basses and I love flying v's so this is going to be incredible
