That is almost like the ad in Mechanics Illustrated back in the 60's. It read "Bug killer, guarantied to kill any and all bugs $12.00". People ordered it and when it came it was two 6 inch pieces of 2x4. Instructions said to "place bug on plank A and strike firmly with plank B". Kills any and all bugs. People wanted a refund but non were issued.

Old hard drive shipping boxes are a good source of foam for mutes, as well as for pads to put under studio monitors.

I have some cotton that was picked by my son (age 5) from a field here in Tennessee. I shoved it into my ashtray, and it works well w/the roundwounds. For my flats, I use something heavier like foam, wool, or even one of my kids’ socks.
