I'm trying to put together a small rack for my NS Design EUB to make it easier to switch from EB to EUB. I want to use a Shure QXLD wireless and a preamp/DI and just leave the pack on the EUB so I can just grab it and play. I have the channel count to support another instrument. I was thinking of using a Focusrite Tone Factory for the preamp/DI, as it is one rack space and would require just a two RU rack with the wireless. It would be monitored through floor monitors or IEMs. Have any of you used this preamp on an EUB? What are your thoughts on this set up? Any suggestions of other preamps in this form factor, that I should be considering?

I’ve been doubling for about 25 years.
Mostly with an Azola Bug Bass and some type of BG. I also have a hybrid Upton. I purchased a Stanley Clarke preamp to use with my various rigs and it has been the best tool in my arsenal for doubling. Great tone control and easy to get a sound with any of my basses. I also owned a NS for a short time. It was a great instrument with a unique tone, but didn’t do the upright thing justice.
