It was originally called Plum Crazy, although now it may be called Hellraisin. I like it, but I'm a Ravens fan, and Baltimore may be the easiest place to find a purple guitar.

Yes! I'm not really sure if there's much difference between the two, they're both gorgeous. I was torn between rosewood or maple for the fretboard, but I ended up going with rosewood as every bass I've played that I really loved was rosewood.

Got from another fellow bass nerd this Monarch 5 PJ (2019) in Natural gloss, Swamp ash.
This is spec'd from dealer, SlapStore América Latina.
Surprisingly, my small hand finds the 19mm spacing comfortable ( usually play 17.5mm / 18mm). Getting to learn more about the bass and here are some of the highlights:
a) smooth highs!
b) body carving built is slim at the bridge/right forearm side
c) it's relatively light at 9.1lbs

I got my Fodera Monarch a few months ago, and it came with the new custom preamp. Does anyone own a Fodera with the old preamp and one with the new preamp? I'm interested to know if there are any sound changes.

I am surprised by this picture and the shaped elite neck-through on the rack.
I have seen many videos where they shape the heel when the wings are glued to the bass.
They might have changed their process ? May be doing this job on the CNC ?

Yeah, that is interesting. I've seen videos as you have of this area being done after the wings are on. It would be pretty difficult to do that part by hand without the wings on. I suppose that doesn't mean that it's necessarily done with a CNC, but there could be some other jig in use to do it or perhaps it is being done for some custom reason associated with the bass specs. The other necks lined up look to be the same, so that suggests to me that this may be a process change at large.

I think this is what happened with mine. Was quite surprised that the neck carving (and heel block veneers) were carved - apparently by Dan - before body wings were shaped at all, so these could even have been glued on later.
