Fodera Ying Yang in Church

He played that grove relentlessly.
I love Victor Wooten's playing, but I have never been fond of his tone. This Fodera Ying-Yang bass sounds great in this context and doesn't sound how I was expecting. Maybe it's EQ'd at the amp or on the bass preamp differently or maybe it's just in the hands. But it sounds really good!
I thought he was playing lefty until I saw the exit sign was backwards and I know he's a righty. I guess there are bass switch hitters out there.
Bringing some yin & yang eastern philosophy to some western gospel. Nice!

Johnny makes everything sound good though... he's got a gift for finding the best a bass has.

Not a real one. He did a video on it. It's a Chinese copy that he did mods on. If it's a real one, it may be a customers.He plays a Fodera!
What I really like is that even though his groove is quite repetitive, his subtle accents come across with each pass of the groove. The “Faux Dera’s” touch sensitivity picks up each little rhythmic variation.
