Who knew? Brad Schimel the former Wisconsin attornet general who just lost the race for a seat on Wisconsin's Supreme Court is a bassist. The Associated Press reported:

Schimel played bass with his classic rock cover band at his election night party both before and after conceding defeat, covering songs by the Allman Brothers, Tom Petty and others.

Here's a link to the full article.

P.S. This is NOT an April Fool's joke.

Addendun:

I once sat in with a blues band led by the lieutenant governor of Vermont and once headlined a show opened by an Irish band fronted by the mayor of Baltimore, MD.

IIRC, Andrew Card, who worked in both Bush administrations, also plays the bass.

The convo about Mike Huckabee reminds me of a funny clip I saw of him after he left office. He had a tv show that in one episode, incredibly, included members of Yes, and he introduced "Chris Mcguire"
