Found a vintage Gibson Les Paul amp...

At my friends house. His old roommate left it there ages ago and it was tucked away in a corner. The thing is so antique that it looked like a piece of furniture. I've been looking for it online everywhere to figure out what model it is but can't find it anywhere, and it doesn't say on the amp what it is either. It's tube with I think a 12" inch speaker and the casing around is stained wood. Anyone have an idea what this might be? It's sounds pretty awesome believe it or not!

I'm pretty sure that any of the amplifiers labeled as Les Paul were "GA-" amps like GA-5, GA-15, GA-40, etc. How many and what size tubes? There should be at least 2, a pre and a power tube.

I'm going to take a picture next time i'm over there. I think it had 4 tubes? I don't know what size they were though.

I just did another round of Google Image searching and have determined that it looks very much like the GA-40, but not quite. The shell is medium brown stained wood. Looks like a chest or an end table with the finish. Continuing my research...

They are cool old amps. I have a GA-5 and it cooks.

hey hey, I'll get the pics.

I'm not sure... it's ultimately my friends call. I think he'll probably keep it unless he finds out it's worth a ridiculous amount of money or something. One of the inputs doesn't work but the one that does sounds awesome. This is the closest thing I've found to it:

This one is a 61. I think the one we found is a few years older... but it's nicer looking than that. Pretty sure it's a rare GA-40.
