New here and appreciate acceptance to the board. I am pretty much just checking out the forum and enjoy a blast from the past occasionally. I don't play much and my amp and cabs have been untouched in my basement since the early 90s. My bass was down there as well. Anyway, I just set it up again and am using a Vox plugin for my bass fix. My son has no ddsire to learn anything on a stringed device but sings his butt off in the honor choir. Less lifting involved with vocals. Lol
Anyway, I have to say it brings back a lot of memories reading threads here as there was no internet or forums in the early 80s that I knew of. Lugging an SVT up the stairs as well as a full drum kit was never a fun time.
Anyway, I stumbled on the forum by chance while looking for knobs to get my Ibanez back to somewhat stock appearance.
I habe a Randall solid state head and played it through a converted fender twin that I gutted just to have something to satisfy my need for live sound. The PA cabs and power amp will probably never be used again.
I have recently started making strap locks in quantity just because and all my guitars will have them sin e they are bulletproof. My Bass has had them on for almost 40 years and still goinv strong.

As soon as I get a chance I will uncover what remains. At one time an SVT was my setup. No pedals although I seemed to buy one every week and get half my money back from Norfolk County Music.
At the moment I just use a Vox bass plugin with drum tracks and a set of headphones so the family isn't tortured any more.

I haven't played with a band or any live group in decades. Life took over and love happened. Then the years melted away. My hearing is atrocious at this point and stagefright is a reality for me. Always was.

These are from a distance. I gutted a fender twin and used it for practice at home with a solid state Randall which is in the flight case under the Vox pedal box. The cabs are a gift from a neighbor and I have no idea what is in them for speakers. I have never set them up with the piwer amp or the Randall. I will once I clean up enough to dig them out.

In my travels lately, I drive by empty storefronts that were once music stores. I bought my last guitar stateside in 2005 at Mars in Natick. GC put them out of busuness. The options today were unheard of in the 80s. Feeling older every day. Haha.
Forgot the Les Paul I got at GC Natick in 2016. It has been chibsons lately for me. I can play/sound just as good on chinese guitars as I play/sound on Gibsons.
