but framus are bankrupt.

I just wondered whether there were any basses extremely similar, I mean, I've looked at the Artcores, but they're not really down my street...

Bankruptcy
In an interview Fred Wilfer summarized his all-embracing concept with the following words: It's not only important to produce instruments, over a long period it is important to "produce customers". This motto is found in other Framus projects, as well. Eventually the price dumping by companies from Japan along with other factors, both external and internal forced Framus into bankruptcy at the end of the 1970's.

Many aspects of the history of Framus are still in the dark. This is due to the bankruptcy of the company when almost the whole archives were lost. :crying:

We are trying to make headway into the UK market (maybe look for us at the London International show next spring) But right now our biggest retailer in that area is Candy Apple Red in Ireland. I know that's probably not so close for you in England, but if they have one in stock, shipping will be cheaper than getting it from us directly.

We do have them availabe to buy online, but, shipping is $$$.
