Frank Zappa Catalog & Vault Acquired by Universal

I'm going to take a different view on this.

Managing something like this is a big task. The family likely wants to get this all behind them and move on. What makes the most sense is to sell it and move on.

Similar to group ownership of property. If some of the folks that have inherited the rights to it don't use it, it's better to sell it and get out from under it.

We can only hope that the new management does right by the philosophy of the creator of the content.

Can I still say “Centerville, a real nice place to raise your kids up” or do I need to run that by legal?
Not sure why but,

Because I probably say that once a week.
Yep, i’m prone to interject…
“Oh... You were the girl that was stuck to seat 38 on Phydeaux iii...”
but it’s a kneejerk thing that may or may not be related to the conversational thread into which it is dropped. About the only thing it reliably does is expose fellow Zappa geeks. While not a dyed in the wool Frank-o-phile I am deep enough into that rabbit hole I crave a pygmy pony and a real poncho.
