I'm going to take a different view on this.
Managing something like this is a big task. The family likely wants to get this all behind them and move on. What makes the most sense is to sell it and move on.
Similar to group ownership of property. If some of the folks that have inherited the rights to it don't use it, it's better to sell it and get out from under it.
We can only hope that the new management does right by the philosophy of the creator of the content.

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that Dweezil was in complete agreement with this deal.
It may be a long and winding road, but they can bring Dinah-Moe along with them for, well, you know.
IIRC Frank told the family to sell everything off when he died so he would totally be on board with this. What he probably would've disliked is the way his wife and two of his kids mishandled his music for almost 30 years. The way they treated Dweezil is petty and disgusting.
Well, if they didn’t sell it off, they might have wound up working in a gas station. Or worse, have the matter decided by a Central Scrutinizer.

but it’s a kneejerk thing that may or may not be related to the conversational thread into which it is dropped. About the only thing it reliably does is expose fellow Zappa geeks. While not a dyed in the wool Frank-o-phile I am deep enough into that rabbit hole I crave a pygmy pony and a real poncho.
