FREE! Peavey 215 Content

A local music store was cleaning house so me and my buddy got to go through all the things they were throwing out, and there it was. An old Peavey 215 cab! but it was empty. then the guy said "hey ive got some 15's im also getting rid of if you want to look at them." so i did and HE HAD 9 ELECTROVOICE 15L'S AND HE LET US HAVE ALL OF THEM. all in perfect condition(we tested them as soon as we got to the house. they all work great) popped two of them in the cab and it sounds great. ive always wanted a 2x15 so to just get this thing for absolutely free is nuts. this was completely amazing that this just randomly happened. good things actually happen sometimes

I agree w/Lowend. I have an identical cab, except with the original Black Widows. Damn those things put out some sick ass low end.

Don't hate on Peavey. Their older (from the 70's and 80's) gear is fantastic. I haven't actually tried anything they've made in the last 20 years...

I think the only impedance that EV made them was 8 ohms.

Would a 4x15 fit in the almighty Focus?

since i own both speakers, i actually like the EV-15L's ALOT better than the 3015's. to me, the 3015's sound a little like cardboard by comparison. the 3015's are great if you're going to push alot of watts thru them though, its just that they only go up to 3kHz before they drastically roll off and the EV's have a sweet high end and work better if you aren't using a mid driver or a tweeter.
just my opinion............

yeah they are the 8 ohm 200 watt EVls. the mids sound great outta this baby. and dont hate on poor old peavey. they never die!
